Syracuse Twins Home Safely & Our Dogs

The twins and couple that we have mentioned a couple of times are home safely in Syracuse.

We learned a little more about Ava this week. She was found by a guard on a badminton court at a hospital. We now have copies of her birth certificate and information about how the people who found her tried to find her birth parents. Each time we learn more about her, we want to be with her even more.

Kurt and I think we are all set to leave next week. We have all of our meds and shots. Our legal documents are ready to go. I think we are all packed -items for Me, Kurt, Ava and donations for her orphanage. We have our plane tickets, a cell phone to use in Vietnam, and our travel insurance. Our house/dog sitter is all set and we have stuff set up at home for our return. By the way we have two big dogs that are used to being the center or our world - it will fun to see how they adapt to our baby girl. We have been leaving baby items around the house to help them get use to baby things (swings, car seats, high chairs, toys) so that when we arrive home they are more accepting of our new pack member.

I'm so excited that you are so close to leaving. The dog/baby transistion can be tricky. My sister's dog was really mad. She would take baby things outside and rub them in the dirt. She was the most angry ay my brother-in-law, she left him a "present" on his pillow. Just be patient and try to keep your sense of humour.
