Today was supposed to be my first full day at work. But mother nature had a different plan. It snowed over two feet today and all schools and colleges in the area were closed. I spent the day playing with Ava. She is sleeping now and Kurt is out snow blowing for the second time today. Today's good thing was when she sprayed carrots all over Mommy's face. The last two nights she woke up from 12:30-3:30 so our nights have been short...
I should probably go back a couple of days to the end of my last log. The weekend was very good and very quiet. The only visitor we had was Grandma Marva and she helped give Ava a bath and showed me a few tricks. We got our things together for Ava to start daycare.
Monday morning we all went to the daycare center for an hour and a half to settle in and meet the teachers and other infants. I really think she is going to enjoy daycare where she will hear the voices of other little children and that the developmental activities of the center will help her with her motor and social development.
On Tuesday morning Ava went to half a day of day care. I spent the morning waiting for them to call - but they did not call because she had a "great" morning. I finally got pictures from the trip developed and sent copies with Valentine's cards to our families.
Some things about Ava - She likes the animals and they like her, she loves our smiles and voices, she does not like to lie down unless she is fully asleep, she is not a fan of the swing, she is a fan of rocking in our arms, she is not rolling over and laying on her stomach anymore like she was in VN, she loves to kick her feet in the bathtub, her skin is very sensitive, she generally falls asleep when in the car seat in the car, she has still not determined which bottle and nipple she prefers, her "fun" noises change every few days, she makes a kissing noise when she is hungry, she loves to smile at herself in the mirror, she is ticklish, Xena will eat a poopy diaper and Topi gets agitated when Ava cries. There are several other things but just in case we have to go to work tomorrow and Ava decides to wake up again for a few hours in the early morning - I better go to sleep. Good night.

Wonderful update! Thank you! I like the new photos on the right-hand sidebar. It sounds like everything is going so well. Take it easy with the transition back to work! It sounds like Ava'a transition to day care will be a smooth one - which is a blessing. Thinking of you all. Stay warm!
