Friends from Vietnam

A few weekends ago we met up with the other families who traveled with us to Vietnam to adopt through World Child/Family Connections. It was wonderful to see the families and the children. It is so hard to believe we were all together seven months ago in Vietnam - boy how time flies... Thanks to the family that hosted the picnic!

This weekend we went to a tailgate party and football game at the college. It was fun to see my students interact with Ava.

Ava has adjusted very well to the waddler room at day care and is eating all kinds of table foods like the big kids. We are still working on weaning her from her bottles. She has been able to shake her head "no" for quite a few weeks - this week she learned "yes". It is fun to watch her identify what types of actions deserve what kind of head shake.

We received Ava's official New York State Birth Certificate a few weeks ago and plan to apply for her US Passport later this week.
