Packing list for 2 adults, 5 month old in January (55-70 degree weather) Adult clothing 2 pants, 2 shorts, sweats, skirt, 2 nice shirts, 2 t-shirts, 7 underwear, 7 socks, 2 nicer outfits, pjs, 3 pairs shoes (closed toe, sandal, sneaker), light jacket, 2 bras, baseball cap Baby clothing (5 months) 5 pants, 5 shirts, 9 onsies, 5 sleepers, 4 cotton hats, slipper like shoes, 1 G&R outfit, light jacket, baby mittens, 2 baby blankets, (purchased a snow suit and winter hats there) Medications for Adults cold/sinus/allergy meds, eye wetting drops, nose saline, Asprin/Tylenol/Excedrine, band aids*, antibiotic ointment, Imodium, bug spray*, sun screen*, laxatives, scabies meds*, sleeping pills*, antibiotics, q-tips Baby Meds diaper cream, teething gel*, sunscreen*, Rid- lice*, Eurax - scabies, travel pack of pedialite*, baby Motrin*, Mylicon drops**, suppositories**, q-tips, thermometer, hydrocortisone cream, alcohol swabs*, petroleum jelly Food misc. items adult Antibacterial hand gel, dish soap to wash bottles, makeup, hairbrush, tooth brush, tooth paste, floss, toilet paper, Kleenex, deodorant, shampoo & conditioner, lotion, razor, hair products, hair dryer*, clothing soap, power bars, candy, crackers, oatmeal packets, gum, money wallets and passport carriers, books, I-pod, Computer, camcorder, camera, batteries, battery charger, adaptor kit, calculator, travel alarm clock, rented cell phone, duct tape, paper clips, tape, pens, ZIP LOCK BAGS!!!!! , travel guides, small flash light*, extra luggage tags, travel umbrella Food misc. items baby baby Bjorn (carrier), 160 diapers, 4 bibs, baby nail clippers, aspirator, 4 Playtex bottles (2 small, 2 large), liners, nipples, baby wipes, baby lotion, shampoo/soap, baby powder, burp clothes, formula, few toys, diaper bag, pacifier Other Gifts for orphanage and others involved in the process, gift bags and ribbon, donation items for the orphanage, Adoption paperwork, $$ *= did not use **=did not use but other families did p.s. – a lot of this could have been purchased in Hanoi. We had some items in travel and traditional size since the airlines have fluid etc. limits.

Gifts purchased in Vietnam (including 16 items to give Ava – on her birthday until she is 16) Buddha statues, candle holders, plates, chopsticks, silk clothing items, metal toys (heavy to bring home), wooden toys, wooden puzzle boxes, silk tapestries, pottery, postcards to write thank you notes on, compasses, magnets, wooden statues of women/dragons, painted tiles, tea set, hair ties, silk purses, pearls, jade, jewelry boxes, fabric face masks, children’s squeaky sneakers, dolls, books, laterns to hang from ceiling, mobile for crib, and other items I am sure we have forgotten to remember.
